Sussex Police investigating a deer poaching operation in the Rother area of East Sussex made five arrests following dawn raids.
More than 50 officers seized firearms, animal carcases and meat, including venison and wild boar.
Five men were arrested under the 1991 Deer Act.
Chief inspector Heather Keating said: This is not a local poacher taking one for the pot, but a highly organised and criminal gang taking wild animals for big profits.
