West Mercia Police said around 20 weapons, mostly shotguns but some small calibre rifles, were stolen from the registered gun dealer.

Officers said several of the guns were valuable and of interest to collectors.

Det Ch Insp Steve Eccleston urged any dealers who may have been offered weapons for sale to contact them.

"It is always concerning when items of this nature are stolen and we want to reassure the local community that we are doing everything we can to locate them," he added.
