This year’s British Shooting Show at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire can now claim to be the largest specialist shooting show in Europe.

The two-day event, on February 26 and 27, boasts 150,000 sq ft of shooting exhibits with many thousands of guns and accessories on display and for sale.

The show has a completely new layout this year, with just two huge jumbo halls replacing the seven separate halls used for 2010.

All the themed areas, including Gunmakers, Airgun City, Arms Heritage, Gamekeeping and Gundogs will be merged together under one huge covered arena, enabling visitors to walk from one to the other completely under cover.

All the top brands of shotgun will be on display and for sale, including; Beretta, Lanber, Bettinsoli, Perazzi, Fabarm, Yildiz, Rottweill, Guerini, Webley & Scott, Merkel, Krieghoff, Blaser, Remington, MacNab, Browning, Mossberg, Miroku, AYA, Winchester, Franchi, Longthornes, Benelli, Baikal, Arrieta, Watson Bros and many more.

There’s a special focus on rifles at the show, covering all aspects of rifle shooting including, hunting, stalking, big game and all types of target shooting etc.

Check out the huge range of factory and customised, new and used, rifles on display and for sale including, Tikka, Howa, Sako, Savage, Steyr, Mauser, PGW, Unique, Blaser, Browning, Krieghoff, CZ, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Merkel, GSG, Titan, Thompson Center, Marlin, Anschutz, Pfeifer Waffen, Christensen, Voere, Kimbar, Savage, Winchester and Remington etc.

The 50-bird Sporting competition has proved immensely popular over the last two years and is already attracting a lot of interest.

There’s a big prize fund of well over £1,200 in cash and sponsors prizes, plus medals for Juniors, Ladies and Open classes.

There’s also a rolling pool shoot, Browning Rabbit Mania and Muzzle Loading “have a go”.

The BASC coaching line will be in full swing with a special emphasis on help for beginners, absolute novices and special rates for “Young Shots”.

There’s also Airgun City, the Arms Heritage Arena, the BASC Gamekeeping Hall and much, much more.
