Canine Partners 7th Annual Driven Clay Challenge was held earlier this month, hosted once again by the Earl of Clarendon at his Holywell Estate in Swanmore, Hampshire.

Shooting were 33 teams of four guns competing for the Canine Partners Charity Shield, with a course made up of six drives.

The winning team were Moorgate Strollers, consisting of John Heagan, Richard Jeffrey, Philip Walford and Ed Jeffrey.

The runners up were the team Hubbies Hobbits.

The lady loaders gave awards for impeccable manners to two teams, one of which included the Charity’s patron The Duke of Gloucester.

In addition to a wonderful day’s clay shooting, the competitors were treated to breakfast and lunch, followed by a charity auction.

One of the prizes was a state of the art bicycle, which was ably demonstrated by the Earl of Clarendon in order to secure a generous donation.

Isabel Campbell, director of fundraising and marketing for Canine Partners, says: “Our sincere thanks go once again to the Earl of Clarendon, for allowing us to use the stunning Holywell Estate for this wonderful fundraising event. This year saw a record number of teams competing, and we have raised in excess of £22,000 thanks to the generosity of those who attended. Regular events like this allow us to continue training dogs to make a difference to the lives of those with disabilities.”
