The Government’s Independent Panel on Forestry, born out of the fierce debate over the proposed sale of public forests, earlier this month published a progress report on ways to increase benefits generated from forests in England.
The panel received 42,000 public responses — the role of shooting in woodland management was particularly well highlighted in the report.
