When it comes to inventive shooting ideas to raise money for charity, the Vyrnwy Shoot takes some beating!
Each year the shoot, which is based at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa, rears and releases a number of white pheasants.
Anybody shooting one during a drive faces a fixed penalty fine.
It’s just one of the many ideas that has helped the shoot raise £3,178.95 for their chosen charity, the local Air Ambulance, which provides emergency air cover, for those who face life threatening illness or injury.
Handing over the cheque to Ann Lewis of the Air Ambulance are Lorraine Roberts of the Lake Vyrnwy shoot and her husband John, the shoot’s head gamekeeper and sporting manager.
