How important is it to have a good selection of different shot sizes when shooting English, or FITASC, Sporting?

JOHN BIDWELL says: The most important thing, regardless of discipline, is to use a gun that suits your style of shooting. You need to have total confidence in it.
But even when we find an eminently suitable gun, what happens? We start to confuse matters! We begin to worry about all the 'bolt-ons' that surround individual performance – interchangeable chokes and different cartridges are classic candidates. A combination of one, or both, will surely give us an advantage on the day?
Truth is, it rarely works that way....
Just believe in yourself!
