Gun ownership - why are countries different?

Gun ownership - why are countries different?

Every country has its own laws and some are worse than ours!

What are the chances of a British Government falling into line with Europe concerning gun ownership? Why are there differences between countries?

Shooting legal advice
DAVID FROST
We are already bound by the European Firearms Directive which is why you need a European Firearms Pass if you want to take a gun and go shooting on the Continent.

Every country has its own laws and some are worse than ours.

For example, in France you can’t have a military calibre rifle such as a .308, nor can you lamp foxes at night.

Whilst the actual ownership of a gun in France is less complicated than in the UK you can’t use one without passing a hunting test.

Our system is far from perfect but that doesn’t mean everyone else has a better one.
