My husband, John, has taken to going pigeon shooting most weekends with a friend who supplies all the equipment.
He feels he should be building up a stock of his own gear and, with Christmas coming up, I thought he might like it if I helped with getting kitted him out. What should I buy?

In my opinion, the bare minimum for reasonable success would be:
- Four telescopic hide poles
- A four metre length of camo netting
- Ten flock coated shell decoys
And if Father Christmas was feeling really generous, a rotary machine!
