Sporting Gun Clubman Championship 2012

By Barnaby Dracup

Friday, 01 June 2012

The 30th Sporting Gun Clubman Championship 2012 will be held on September 15-16, Midland Game Fair, Shropshire.

Fantastic Prizes plus FREE Entry Ticket to the Midland Game Fair!

This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fantastic Clubman Championship and we've come up with a great new format to mark the occasion.

The Clubman continues to recognise and reward unclassified club shooters and those individuals who have never gone higher than 'B' Class in any CPSA shooting discipline. You do not need to be a CPSA member to enter.

WHO CAN ENTER?
Clubs
New this year! Based on the feedback received from clubs last year, we have decided to change the 5-man to a 4-man team. A 4-man Club team has to be made up of two Seniors, a Veteran and either a Lady or a Junior (non CPSA members or all individuals must be 'B' class and below). Individuals can also be entered into 2-man teams. Clubs may enter more than one 4-man team, however, no individual shooter may be part of more than one team.

Individuals
Whether you are 13 or 73, have only been shooting for a short while or are an experienced shot, come and join us. Why not encourage some of your shooting friends and also enter as a 2-man team? Everyone has a chance of winning some fantastic prizes!

Entrants who are not members of a club or the CPSA, can enter into the four individual categories, i.e. Senior, Veteran, Ladies or Junior (non CPSA members or all 'B' class and below), as well as 2-man teams. Please note that 'A' class shooters will not be permitted to enter this year.

Each entry received before 31 August will also receive a free entry ticket to the Midland Game Fair, renowned as the annual meeting place for country sports enthusiasts.

ON THE DAY
Designed by the award-winning team from the Doveridge Shotgun Academy, this year's Clubman 30 Championship will be a 75-bird English Sporting competition. Fibre wad cartridges only. Plus, we will again see some exciting shoot-offs between the highest scoring individuals and the two 4-man teams.

FANTASTIC PRIZES UP FOR GRABS!

  • Caesar Guerini Challenger worth £2495
  • Fabarm Elos worth £1450 and Fabarm XLR worth £1089
  • Thousands of Lylevale Express cartridges
  • Promatic automatic clay traps for the winning teams
  • Musto clay shooting kit worth over £1000 for the winning 4-man team
  • Plus Cash Prizes!

SO DON'T DELAY! Deadline is 31st August 2012. All entries received by that date will also receive a FREE entry tickets to the Midland Game Fair.

Entry forms with full details are being sent to hundreds of Clubs over the next couple of weeks. However, if you haven't seen it or you don't belong to a Club and want to enter as an individual, see page 69 of the July issue of Sporting Gun (out now) or you will also be able to download it from this website week beginning 11 July. Alternatively, contact the Club Secretary on 020 314 84313 or email regina_tumbridge-harringer@ipcmedia.com.

Entry fee is still only £25/entrant - there is no extra charge for also entering as a 2-man or 4-man team.

Join us and let's make it the biggest and best ever Sporting Gun Clubman Championship!
